HAPPINESS - do you feel you are happy or allow yourself to feel moments of happiness on a daily basis? How about the feeling of joy? The clients that I have been seeing lately are struggling with day to day life with no feeling of joy. What we have to recognize is what we focus or put our attention to every hour is what we will be receiving more of. Like energy attracts more like energy.

When we decide to change our thoughts, it changes our feelings and when we change our feelings we can create more of what we do want. I know this works as I have applied this to my own life. I have lived with sadness, depression, loneliness, cried way too many tears and every time I felt this way, I lost hope. As I matured, I recognized that I was in control on how I felt about everything and so I started to every day find things that brought a smile to my face, I listened to positive podcasts, read enlightening books, found a reason to feel good. I started keeping a grateful journal of writing down 5 things every night and it was a wonderful exercise to do before bed as I always fell asleep with a lighter heart. Do you know those 5 things every night adds up to 150 every month? So now I choose every day to find reasons to feel happy and to feel good.

We can change how we feel every day, it is a choice and a choice only you can make. Life changes when you decide. Start to choose more feelings of happiness and joy and see how it begins to change your perspective and how you live.

 
 
 

Do you seek guidance from others when making decisions? Do you need approval from others? We often do this as we do not trust or we doubt ourself as we feel such inner doubt and hate to make mistakes. We do not recognize that our mistakes are not failures, they are simply experiences we go through to evolve. That is why we are here on this planet, to evolve our Soul.

We have all the wisdom and guidance we need if we started to trust the answers within. Our higher self or soul knows what is best for us. So you ask, how do we work with this wisdom? We are always receiving nudges, thoughts, inspiration and love and this not only comes from our Soul but your spiritual family and guides. To tap into this higher knowledge is to listen to these nudges. If you ask yourself a question and place your hand on your heart, and the answer feels right here, you have your validation. BUT, if you ask the same question and the answer feels like it is coming from your thoughts, that is Ego and you never listen to Ego!!!

So begin to work with your Soul, it knows everything about you as it has all knowledge of who you are! When I started listening to my Soul years ago, it has always lead me in the right direction and I do not seek others for validation.


 
 
 

Before you read on, what does stillness mean to you?

We all have different interpretations of what this means depending on the level of our spiritual awareness. How often throughout the day, do you stop and just be in the moment? Even if you can say once, that is a great start. It is hard to be still when life is so busy and that time has sped up. For majority of us, we live with "monkey brain" too many thoughts and too many things to do and that makes it difficult to stop and be still or even to meditate.

There are so many benefits of trying to be still even if its for a few minutes at a time. Stillness is a form of meditation. We do not always have to sit and meditate to quiet the brain. It can be as simple as going for a walk and just focusing on the beauty that you see, or weeding your gardens and seeing the fruit of your labour or enjoying watching your children or animals playing, or washing the dishes and feeling the warm water and suds on your hands or being just present and listening to a loved one. When we stay focused on what we are doing, that is meditation and that quiets the mind. It is so therapeutic as it is an opportunity to calm the mind so it calms the body. When I am in the moment, it is also when I have my greatest connection to the Spirit realm. So try and be more aware of being in the moment and see how you feel. So many health benefits for taking a few moments every day to nurture your soul.
