March/April are going to be exciting months as I am offering a Reiki refresher course, Reiki 1, II and III classes. No dates have been set as of yet.

In March I will be scheduling How to Read Angel Cards. If you have been intrigued with the Angel and Oracle cards and simply reading the enclosed booklet with your cards may not always have given you the answer or guidance you were searching for. I am showing a different technique how to interpret the cards not only for yourself but to do readings for others. This class will be one - two hours long.

In April I will be offering a class on learning about the seven major chakras. You will learn about the physical and emotional effects, the difference when they are balanced or unbalanced, the colours and how they affect different parts of the body. This class will be 2 hours in length.

I will be posting dates, costs and time for these classes late February. If you are interested, please email or text me.

Reiki has grown in popularity as a healing practice that many people turn to for relaxation, stress relief and emotional balance. Many questions remain about what Reiki really is, and what to expect from a session. This post answers the most common questions.

  1. What happens during a Reiki session? A session lasts 50 minutes. You usually lie down clothed on a massage table or sit comfortably in a chair. The practitioner places their hands on specific areas of your body. You might feel warmth, tingling or a gentle pulsing sensation where the practitioner hands rest. Some people experience emotional releases such as crying, tears or laughter, calmness or fall asleep.

  2. How often should you receive Reiki? The frequency of sessions depends on your goals and needs. Some people benefit from weekly, bi-weekly or monthly. Listening to your body and discussing your goals with your practitioner can help determine the best schedule.

  3. What does Reiki feel like? People describe Reiki sensations differently but here are a few examples: Warmth or heat in the hands or body; tingling or buzzing sensations; feeling of lightness or floating; emotional releases; deep relaxation.

  4. Can Reiki help with specific health issues? Reiki is often used as a complimentary therapy for various conditions including: chronic pain such as arthritis or fibromyalgia; anxiety or depression; insomnia and sleep disorders; recovering from surgery; back pain and digestive problems. While Reiki can support well-being, it should not replace medical diagnosis or treatment.

  5. What can you expect after a Reiki session: you might feel: relaxed and calm; more energized or balanced; emotional release or clarity; temporary tiredness.

How would you feel to give yourself one hour to be in a state of nothingness? Just to feel peace, relaxed and calm? I can offer you this in a meditation guiding you and having calming music in the background. This class will be done through zoom. Life can be so busy and at times overwhelming with our to do lists and for some, raising children. We do not take a time out for ourselves, which our soul and physical body is searching for.

I am going to start up an afternoon and an evening class once a week starting in December. If you are interested, please send me an email. The fee is only $25.
